The Blend # 7 Background
In the last 50 years we have seen huge developments in alternative agricultural technology. Hydroponics has certainly been a stand out achiever in this field. But though hydroponic plant production abounds with simple highly effective growing techniques, it could never be perceived to be the final answer when striving to achieve ultimate growing excellence.
But then we add – Bioponic Technology. (A blend of bio technology and hydroponics)
Those of you that have seen an ageing strain of hydro plant rejuvenated by the bioponic formulation ‘HeadRush’, will truly appreciate what mind bending results bioponic technology has the potential to create during the bloom phase of a plants growth cycle.
That potential has been released with Blend #7.
Blend #7 wasn’t a random hit and miss mix of a couple of chemical plant growth regulators.
There have always been in existence natural plant extracts that can boost plant development. (We have simply labelled these, organic fertilisers.) Recent biological research has enabled us to discover, (and then critically examine) specific characteristics within these extracts. The real challenge was to get all these new entities into a stable solution and to then function cohesively with each other.
Blend #7, in fact took many years (and dollars) to produce this virtual "brew," that naturally enhances plant characteristics during even the most aggressive flowering phase.
Blend#7 FAQ's
When should I start using Blend # 7?
As soon as the season changes. ie When the light cycle is reduced.
When to stop?
In theory as there is no withholding period. You could go through to harvest, though we would advise discretion here as excessive growth may create the potential for mould development. With flavour, oils and aroma in mind, stopping the application with a week before harvest is a nice way to go.
What is the shelf life of Blend#7 ?
As long as you minimise light exposure you should get at least 24 months very effective usage.
Foliar spray or add to tank?
Foliar feeding enables you to do a controlled test, leaving a few plants unsprayed and being able to observe the difference. Also foliar feeding from a point of economy has an advantage.
The ease of tank feeding has advantages for many while in some cases accessibility to the plants may make foliar feeding difficult. Tank feeding has the benefit of being less problematic relevant to mould. Changing to tank feeding late in the bloom phase is a highly recommended technique.
There are, and no doubt will be many more questions. We will try our best to keep everybody updated as best possible. The bottom line is, you are heading in the right direction. Chances are in finding this article you have already found a hydro shop run by somebody who does care. Spend time listening and finding out the newly developed methods and ideas. They are out there and happening all the time. You are involved in a unique hobby that is genuinely and positively changing peoples attitudes to food production. You may not have set out to do it, but you can feel proud of that.
Important handling and usage recommendations.
VERY, VERY, IMPORTANT!!! DON’T EXPOSE TO LIGHT!!!
What isn’t going to be used stays in the bottle. Once it comes out it must not go back into the bottle. Don’t pour it into the cap to look at it, then pour it back! There is a strong chance you will contaminate the entire bottle and decrease the effectiveness (to maybe only 60% efficient)
Once you have prepared a batch to use – it should be used immediately, don’t store it!
