!
General Hydroponics Coco Brick
Low compression fine grade Coco

This premium grade of fiber has a low EC of 0.4 and is specifically produced for the hydroponic market. The 5kg bricks expand quickly in aproximately 3 to 5 minutes and can be expanded in nutrient solution for instant transplanting. Each brick will fully expand to approximately 65 litres. The low compression means that the porosity and air and water ratios remain intact and they expand quickly and evenly.

The General Hydroponics Coco Brick is the most economical premium compressed coco on the market and is easy to freight and store.

Hydroton Expanded Clay

!
Expanded Clay
Hydroton are clay balls (expanded clay) which have properties of high water storage and balanced capillary action which accelerate plant growth. Manufactured in Germany from a renewable and plentiful source (clay), it is considered an ecologically sustainable medium. The clay is formed into pellets and then fired in rotary kilns at 1200°C. This causes the clay to expand inside, like popcorn and it becomes porous.

Hydroton pellets are lightweight, do not compact and are completely reusable - they can be cleaned and sterilized after use. They are also inert, pH neutral and contain no nutrients. Because the pellets drain freely and don't hold excessive water, they provide good oxygen levels around the root zone.

Available in 50 Litre and 10 Litre bags.

Beware of cheaper, lower quality clay balls. Other brands are available (usually from China), but consider the following points before deciding.

  • Hydroton is fully imported from Germany by a couple of selected Australian distrubutors, including Holland Forge.
  • Hydroton is tested by the University of Hokenheim every two months as part of the quality control program
  • Hydroton is dustfree.
  • Hydroton pellets are of a consistant size and shape.

"Your Choice" Expanded Cocopeat (50 Litre)

!

This is a completely new approach to the development of Coco Coir product, a blended mix of larger particles with less fines to assist in opening the mix up to provide an increased Air Fill Porosity ratio, allowing better root development and improved drainage.

The Your Choice Coir is 100% organic and developed specifically for the hydroponic market, being of premium quality, pH balanced and with the addition of Silica, makes it suitable for run to waste and recirculating systems. pH range is 5.7 – 6.2 .

Due to the pH buffering of this product there is no loss of Nitrogen through draw down, the plants get the full benefit with the addition of liquid feed applications.

The additional Silica helps to aid disease suppression as either soil borne pathogens or plant fungal disease, as well as providing increased strength to stem and leaf, to assist carrying greater flower mass.

The use of Coir overcomes the problem of disposal of the growing medium, just spread the used portion through your garden or into the compost, making it a very enviro-friendly proposition.

Your Choice Coir has been designed as a stand alone product, but if the use of either Perlite or Vermiculite is deemed necessary, then add as required.

There is no doubt that Your Choice Coco Coir is far superior to other leading brands, the proof is in the growing, not the name or the price!

Neem Coir
40 Litre Bag
We feel confident that "Neem Coir" will set the standard for "Coir" mediums throughout Australia. Neem coir is perfect for any Domestic, Commercial or Industrial planting applications.

What is Neem Coir?

Coir has remarkable powers of porosity (75%), and water retention (700%), reducing watering schedules by up to 65%. It is not to be confused with peat, which breaks down too quickly and takes many centuries to form out of organic waste.

Neem Cake is produced from Neem tree seeds, and has been proven worldwide to be the best naturally organic, eco-friendly pesticide available! Over 600 insects are affected by the neem! Save on replacements and replanting labour costs! Neem also is a slow release Fertiliser.

These are just a few advantages of the Neem Cake, and when combined with Coir, makes it the wise growers choice for a perfect plant medium.

Hence the product name NEEM COIR.
