A niche exists for a comprehensive metal halide lamp that is fully compatible with horizontal horticultural reflector fixtures.

Most such reflectors were initially designed for the smaller HPS lamps such as the popular 400 watt Son T Agro.

Sylvania has provided a lamp with:

• BT37 reduced Jacket – Fits most horizontal reflectors.
• Universal burning position – allows horizontal positioning of the lamp without the complexity of having to change the existing holder.
• This positioning has the added benefit of being able to conveniently switch to the MH lamp( beneficial during the growth stage); even for those using HPS lamps, by simply changing lamp and ballast.
• High lumen maintenance – while some lamp manufacturers boast special "brews" in their lamp arc tubes to provide specialised burning the end result is decreased output in a very short period – the Sylvania BT37 is still pumping high output 6 months down the track.
• Reliability – Top Class – And when that rare problem does occur; the product is backed by a manufacturer that respects the need of our industry – immediate remedial action.

The special sodium lamp technology of the Super Gro, unique to Sylvania, provides more light and an improved quality of light. The SHP GroLux lamps give on average as much as 65% more red light compared to existing special horticultural lamps, and as plants are very sensitive to red light this means a very strong consistant performance for your harvest.
